About Us Essence of Esther is a family run business located in Acworth, Georgia. This business was started as a result of my friends and family constantly requesting me to share my handmade products with them. I started making my own products because when I became a "label reader", I did not know what was in the lotions, sprays and creams I use to buy. Soap always dried me out so I needed an alternative - so I started buying so-called natural products. However, I soon discovered that they were not so natural after all. I guess the biggest deciding factor for making my own products was after I did some research on the ingredients in the commercial product; the chemical preservatives, dyes, and "mostly" alcohol Body Sprays - I knew I wanted something pure and natural on my skin. My Grandma use to say "if you can cook, you can make just about anything with the right ingredients". So I got some oil, water, borax, beeswax and after much trial and error, I made my first handmade natural product "whipped clouds". The rest came naturally - I researched about essential oils and their properties, the different carrier oils, herbs, salts, and bottles and began making my own bath and skin care products. My mother (she makes all of the bath salts pouches, eye masks, and herbal tea bags), is one of my best "marketing" resources. Her Mothers' Board members and other friends, would ask her why her hair always looked so shiny and healthy. She'd say "Oh, Valerie, my daughter, makes my hair and body crèmes from scratch. My dad, who is recovering from his radiation treatment and who suffers from arthritis, needed something to soothe and keep his bones moving pain free. He asked me to make something for him to use. It did the trick, so he told his brother and shared with him, and so on and so forth. - The business became a reality. Our customers are like our "family" and many of our customer are real family members, and we constantly strive to get the best raw natural ingredients, and quality packaging to ensure that you get high quality natural products at reasonable costs. All of our products are made fresh to order, with the exception of our bath salts, powders and soaps, and some toners, and are shipped by U.S.P.S. We use dark high grade bottles for our massage oils to ensure the properties of the essential oils are not affected by the light. For our lotions, crèmes, and body butters, we use heavy white or dark colored heavy plastics, as well as tin containers. We take pride in our packaging and will also work to produce a product that will reflect the quality inside as well as outside. We started with a vision and God gave us the direction. We will always put our "customer first", because without our customers, we will not be able to accomplish our Mission.
